Cellulite Causes and symptoms

Cellulite is one among the very common problems faced by almost 95% of women in the entire world. It is a condition that is caused by deposition of fatty tissues. The majority of areas affected in the body are thighs, hips and buttocks. It causes the skin in these areas to get crumpled and dimpled. The various consequence of this condition is hampered lymphatic drainage. As a result the body is unable to retain sufficient amount of water. Moreover the circulation of blood is not at its best

 Major Causes of Cellulite

•  Female Hormones - Cellulite is a condition that is more common in the adult women. The two major factors responsible for this condition more frequent in women than in men are the hormones progesterone and estrogen which are secreted from the female bodies. The spreading out and constant growth of the fatty tissues around the thighs, buttocks and breasts of women is primarily caused by the secretion of estrogen while progesterone weakens the blood vessels and the ability to retain fluids and also causes weight gain.

•  Stress - Stress causes an increase in the release of adrenalin hormone which is also an agent for cellulite, if secreted in large amount. So lengthened stress can be a cause of cellulite.

•  Smoking - Cigarette smoking has many side effects and one of them is cellulite. Cigarette contains liberated radicals which causes the capillary walls and blood vessels to trickle and also causes puffiness among them. Smoking makes the blood vessels stiff and decreases the microcirculation.

•  Harsh Massages - Lymphatic vessels are very tender and massaging in an inappropriate and harsh approach might destroy them. This situation causes creation of fluids which gets drained into the tissues and resulting into the situation of cellulite.

•  Obesity - Obesity is very common in women especially in post adulthood. Obesity results in deposition of fat on the lower regions of the body like hips and buttocks which ultimately causes cellulite.

•  Inactive Lifestyle - Inactive ways of living are also one of the causes of cellulite. This is because extra stretched out vessels are prone to leakage and hampered circulation.

•  Pregnancy - Pregnancy is a stage in a woman's life during which she faces radical changes in her body. During this phase one of the things that happens is hormones are retained inside the body, some of which leads to cellulite.

Major Symptoms

Stuffed carroty skin is the most obvious symptom of cellulite. Another major symptom is potholed and creased skin near the thighs, buttocks and hips. An individual gets the feel of the crumpled and lose and extra stretched skin especially, in the lower body parts mainly when he is in a standing posture. Another symptom is a feeling of stiffness.

The above information can be a guideline of preventing cellulite primarily and if an individual is affected by it than the symptoms can be helpful in detecting cellulite.
