Treatment for Dry Hair Using Herbal Oils and Creams

If you have dry hair, you must have been making the use of several oils by now and wondering how to treat your hair. If that's the case, there is no need to worry as they can be effectively treated even at your home. Before some effective techniques for hair treatment are disclosed to you, you must be aware of your hair type. Well, dry hair is due to the inactivity of the oil glands of the body. It may also be caused by factor such as use of a harsh shampoo, chemical treatment and over-exposure to the Sun. The accumulation of Oil results in blockage of the pores and they eventually restricts the oil flow on the surface. Mind you, it will take your efforts and effective treatment to ensure that your hair is treated well.

You can massage your scalp with warm herbal oil for at least two times a week. You may also follow a balanced diet rich in zinc content. Remember to apply only a mild shampoo to your hair as the harsh shampoos can strip your hair of its outer layer of protein, drying your scalp. You must not make the use of hair dryers and electric curlers on your hair. In case your hair tends to fly on a routine basis, you must immediately stop the use of any hair spray. You can make use of a drop of good cream conditioner on the hair brush before you visit the hair stylist to style your hair. You can also take 2-3 tablespoons of Olive oil, use it by warming it slightly and then massage to your scalp. To ensure the maximum results out of it, cover your hair with a poly bag or hair cap and the bag/cap with a warm towel. Keep the towel for at least 30-45 minutes and then rinse and shampoo your hair. Follow this hair treatment for at least once in 2-3 weeks.

For dry hair follow this treatment once in two weeks: Take two tablespoons of olive oil. Warm it and massage on your head. Cover your hair with poly bag and then cover this bag with a warm towel. This will give steaming effect to the hair. Keep it there for half an hour and then rinse and shampoo. You can also take 1 tbsp. of almond and castor oil along with a tablespoon of Glycerin. Add a teaspoon of protein and cider vinegar along with 4 drops of sandalwood. Mix them together and apply on your head and keep it there for at least 20-30 minutes and then rinse it with clean tap water. You can also take 1 tbsp. of coconut and castor oil and add 1 teaspoon of lavender essential oil to it. Heat this mixed oil paste and massage with gentle hands to your head, preferably at night. After you wake up, shampoo your hair and follow this practice for at least 2 times a week.
