Epilation - Some of the Advantages and Disadvantages

Epilation refers to removal of hairs from below the skin's surface. Epilation devices currently strive to remove the entire hair from the root using mechanical extraction or laser removal. It is the most effective method for temporarily removing hair. Waxing is the most effective method of epilation because it removes hair completely from the hair shaft in large quantities.

Epilation is refers to removal of body hairs, by means of electrical device, tweezer, or wax. Epilation may be performed by a dermatologist, but is more commonly done for cosmetic purposes by a facial technologist or esthetician.

Epilation is a mechanical method of plucking hairs. The original and most popular epilation device is the Epilady. Epilady has remained a leader in the development and consumer satisfaction for electronic epilation devices.

Epilation can be achieved by using the laser techniques. Laser and light-based methods are sometimes called phototricholysis or photoepilation. In addition to lasers, some light-based epilators use a xenon flash lamp which emits full-spectrum intense pulsed light . Treatment with this device is sometimes popularly referred to as laser hair removal.

Epilation is a method of removing the entire hair. After epilation the skin may be particularly sensitive. Also called depilation. The needle-epilation must meet the individual hair at the root and with electric current glowing. If needle and current draw meet not the hair channel, but the environment, there can be unpleasant scars. The examples of epilation devices include tweezers, waxes, electrolysis, and laser hair removal. These types of hair removal devices and methods are continually improved to diminish skin irritation.

Disadvantages of epilation:

  • It is a painful procedure of hair removal.
  • It can damage body areas with thin skin like the face.
  • It functions poorly on curved surfaces, such as the underarms.
