These methods do not increase the hair growth. Plucking can be a rather painful process; it may help to wipe the area first with an ice cube to numb the nerve endings. But if you are threading, the wet hair will cling to the skin, making it difficult for you to thread; so for threading, it is best to lightly apply talcum powder to the area to separate the hair. If there is one or two unwanted hair on the face, then it should be pulled out by a tweezers. This pulling of hair by a tweezers is known as 'plucking'. If there are a lot of hair then do not use tweezers because the root of hair get hardened and the repeated pulls may result in injury to the root of hair and subsequent growth of pimples and acne. Before using tweezers apply cold cream to the face so as to soften the roots of hair. In case the roots are hard, then soak a swab of cotton wool in hot water and keep it on the hair for some time. This will soften the roots. When thread is used to remove the hair, it is called 'threading' . Threading does not make the roots of hair hard. Threading should be done after two or three weeks. Never use a razor to remove the hair. It hardens the root of hair and also there is a rapid re growth of hair.
